Red Bird is a phenomenal album, the best thing they’ve done in my opinion.
It combines the heavy riffs & technical drumming of prog metal with the huge atmospheric soundscapes and memorable lead guitar lines of post-rock in a way I haven’t heard done before, not like this.
I consider it essential listening for anyone even remotely interested in post-rock. There’s a lot to appreciate here & to me it’s one of the highlights of the entire genre. Truly a masterpiece in every way
